1tbsphoney or brown sugar(optional, adjust to taste)
1small piece of fresh ginger(optional, for a spicy kick)

Prepare the BaseCombine the grape juice, apple juice, and water in a large saucepan. Add the orange slices, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, and ginger (if using).
Simmer the MixtureHeat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for 20–30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Sweeten to TasteTaste the mulled wine and add honey or brown sugar if desired. Stir until fully dissolved.
Strain and ServeUse a fine mesh strainer to remove the spices and orange slices. Ladle the mulled wine into heatproof glasses or mugs.
Garnish and EnjoyGarnish with a slice of fresh orange or a cinnamon stick for an extra festive touch. Serve warm and enjoy.
